A Houston Forensic Science Center Video Analyst has been awarded one of the highestlevel certifications in the field of forensic video analysis. Kristopher Caesar joins just 60
other analysts worldwide recognized by the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services
Video Association (LEVA) as a Certified Forensic Video Analyst, the highest
designation the group offers to forensic video analysts. LEVA is recognized as one of
the global leaders in forensic video and digital multimedia evidence training.
Mr. Caesar has more than six years of experience as a forensic video analyst. Originally
from Toronto, Canada, Mr. Caesar joined HFSC in June 2015 as an analyst in the
Center’s Forensic Audio/Video Section. This unit will now be adding more analytical
services, including comparative analysis.
HFSC is an independent, nonprofit, local government corporation created by the City of
Houston to manage and oversee forensic services. HFSC took over management in
April 2014 of what had previously been HPD’s Crime Laboratory, Crime Scene Unit
and parts of its Identification Division. HFSC currently operates in nine disciplines and
is expanding.
